Temple Shalom and New Light Baptist Community Church are joining together for their 20th annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Reverend Edna Wiley will deliver the special sermon at Temple Shalom on Friday evening, January 12, at the 7:30 PM Shabbat evening service. Rabbi Laurence Malinger will deliver the special sermon on Sunday morning, January 14, at New Light at their 10:00 AM Sunday service. The commitment of these two communities to commemorate the leadership and lessons of Dr. King is very special as they are committed to working together to create communities of dignity and respect for all.
