Mitzvah Day
Join us for Mitzvah Day, on May 4th, at 9:30 AM, at Temple Shalom.
It’s that time of year again! Mitzvah Day is back, and we’re gearing up for a morning filled with meaningful activities and community support. Come join us as we come together to make a positive impact both within our Temple and beyond!
From supporting our neighbors to lending a hand to our Temple grounds, there are plenty of ways to get involved:
* Putting together hygiene bags, and sorting new socks/underwear, to be delivered to Lunch Break in Red Bank
* Doing repairs inside and outside our building
* Support for Collier Youth Services
* Vegetable garden work (supports our community)
* Last chance to vote in the World Zionist congress elections
Also, we are hosting a donor drive to help find a match for Rachel, a 10-year-old child in our community who is facing a critical health battle and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. Getting swabbed is quick, painless, and could be the first step in saving Rachel’s life or the life of another person in need. You must be ages 18-40 to be a potential donor.
We’ll also be collecting items for the donations to Lunch Break in Red Bank, such as toiletry items, new (in-package) underwear, and new (in-package) socks.
Monetary donations for the above can be made at https://templeshalomofaberdeen.shulcloud.com/form/Mitzvah%20Day%202025
And of course, no Mitzvah Day is complete without some light refreshments to keep us energized throughout the morning.
Let’s come together as a community to make a difference and spread kindness far and wide. See you there!
