Join the Choir
Do you like to sing? Are you interested in learning different types of Jewish music with a friendly group of like-minded singers? Would you like to learn from an experienced and renowned choral director? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the Temple Shalom choir is the place for you!
The Temple Shalom choir participates in High Holiday as well as some Shabbat evening services and other programs throughout the year. Singing in the choir gives you an opportunity both to nourish your spirit and strengthen your ties to the community. As we begin a new chapter of music at Temple Shalom with our new choral director and accompanist, John Balme, we welcome you to join us!
Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm in the Temple Shalom sanctuary, beginning on March 22.
Our first Shabbat service together will be a Sephardic music-themed service including a special presentation by choir member Alberto Barugel, on Friday, April 21.
Please email John Balme or Cantor Sarah Zemel with any questions or for more information. Music reading skills and basic Hebrew knowledge are a plus but are not required.
