Classes: Counting of the Omer
Counting the Omer – An Exploration of the Jewish People’s Transformation
Wednesdays – 12 pm EST
April 12 – May 24, 2023
Join us as we mark the journey our people made from slavery in Egypt to becoming the free people who stood together at Mount Sinai by counting the 50 days of Omer. During the Omer we draw inspiration from our people’s transformation, by reflecting on our own journeys of freedom and growth. Our reflection is traditionally fostered by the study of sacred texts. This year, our team of Rabbis of Small Congregations brings you seven sessions on Nevi’im and Ketuvim, the “Prophets” and “Writings” sections of the TaNaKh. Join us for one or more of the sessions as we delve into our textual tradition during this period of reflection.
