ToSTY Tweens (Grades 6-7)
ToSTY Tweens is the junior youth group of Temple Shalom and membership is free to all temple members in grades 6-7. The purpose of this group is to build social relationships with other Jewish youth outside of the educational environment. Under the supervision and guidance of their advisor, children will experience opportunities for personal growth, engage in community service and enrich their Jewish identity. Diverse programming is designed to be stimulating and conducive to the development of strong social bonds among the children, and our Jewish tradition. Membership is free, and there will be 5 events over the course of this year! This is a wonderful opportunity for your children to make new friends in a fun, Jewish environment.
From the Advisors…
We are Rabbi Malinger and Wayne Christie and we are the advisors for ToSTy Tweens. Each of us has been involved with youth programs for more than three decades and we love the opportunity to strengthen Jewish connections for our young teens. Our programs are designed to have interactive events that encourages the development of relationships as well as create an environment that enables our young teens to explore their Jewish identity. We are excited for the year to come and the great times we are going to have.
